Pink Stoneware Garlic Pot
Pink Stoneware Garlic Pot
A handmade stoneware garlic pot with contemporary leather loop handle. Glazed in a speckled, light pink glaze this garlic pot is perfect for storing your garlic; with holes in the pot for ventilation.
Care: All of my products are dishwasher safe (just remove the leather loop first or hand wash the lid).
Dimensions: H 10cm x W 11.5cm
Making process:
All of my pottery is handmade in my rural farm studio just outside of Exeter, Devon in the southwest of England. I use a white, high fire stoneware clay.
Firstly the body of the pot is thrown on the wheel using the white clay. After a couple of days (weather dependent), the clay will have dried to a “leather-hard” state and can be turned.
Once the piece is “bone dry” (this is called “greenware”) it is fired to 1000 degrees Celsius. The piece is dipped in my own handmade glazes and fired to 1270 degrees Celsius in my electric kiln.
